Transit-Oriented Development

Creating connected communities

Transit-Oriented Development

Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) embodies society's desire for vibrant, livable communities that are compact, walkable and centered on high-quality transit systems that enable residents to live, play and work with less dependence on cars.

Our transit planners and urban designers have completed several large, mixed-use TOD plans in North America and are currently working on a new plan for the Atlanta Beltline that will link people and their communities along a former rail corridor that encircles the city. This dynamic transit greenway comprises a 22-mile loop of light-rail transit, multi-use paths and linear parks that will spur economic revitalization in dozens of underserved communities.
