SCUP/AIA Excellence in Renovation/Adaptive Reuse, Merit Award
San Francisco Conservatory of Music
The Conservatory's new school was one of four projects nationally recognized by SCUP and the AIA in 2010, for excellence in Renovation/Adaptive Reuse. Jurors commented on the clever integration of old and new; the three-story atrium space which provides organizational clarity and a place for collaboration, and on the skillful reconfiguration of the historic ballroom into a world class acoustical performance space.
