In 1995, after decades of work in Asia, Perkins+Will was commissioned to design its first project in Mainland China, the International School of Beijing Shunyi. Since that time, the firm has designed dozens of projects in many market sectors and locations around China. We have completed or are designing projects in the areas of mixed-use development, civic + cultural buildings, science + technology, research and development, higher education, K-12 schools, interior design and urban planning. Located in the heart of Puxi district, the Shanghai office successfully meets the distinctive cultural and environmental needs of its international clientele, performing design work for corporations, developers, government bodies, universities and schools. The Shanghai office is a home base for operations in China and provides local contacts for clients, consultants and industry representatives.
