As Chief Operating Officer, Ben brings his impressive experience, keen intellect and gracious personal style to leading the firm in operational sophistication and efficiency. Ben is well respected by clients and colleagues for his in-depth understanding of the practice of architecture, relationship-building and problem-solving abilities. He promotes technical best practices through our Excellence in Execution committee, is very involved with our Social Responsibility Initiative and oversees the daily operations and financial viability of all the offices.

Ben was elected to the College of Fellows of the AIA in 2002 and is a registered architect in California, NCARB certified and a licensed general contractor. He has chaired the AIA Risk Management Committee and was a long-time member of the AIA Documents Committee. He has also been active in the FMI COO Forum, the AIA Large Firm Roundtable, Leadership San Francisco, the Bay Area Council, the Committee on JOBS and has guest lectured at various AIA chapters, several AIA National conventions and the University of California, Berkeley.
