In September 2008, the American Architectural Foundation and Architectural Record teamed up students and designers to participate in thematic school design charrettes. Steve Turckes, K-12 Global Market Sector Leader, participated in the "Connection to Outdoors" group, following in Perkins+Will's tradition of building sustainable schools.
