Business for Social Responsibility(BSR) is a non-profit organization that leverages its expertise in environment, human rights, economic development, transparency and accountability to guide global companies toward creating a just and sustainable world. Responding to our shared values in sustainability and social responsibility, we undertook the renovation of BSR's 4,700 square foot office in New York City's Union Square.

The design communicates BSR's brand and their commitment to environmental and social responsibility in a fresh, minimalistic space. Taking into consideration their workflow and culture, we organized the space into two zones, a private/work zone that includes an open office and four private offices and a public zone that contains two conference rooms and a waiting area. The open environment allows for access to natural light, views to Union Square Park and increased space for additional workstations maximizing the quality and productivity of the space. Completed in less than five-months, our designers worked with experts in lighting, engineering and construction as well as the client's landlord to redesign the space within LEED standards.
