When Digitas opened their 19,000 square foot Chicago office they wanted a design reflective of their needs and culture as a leading digital and direct marketing firm. The challenge of the design was to achieve a flexible, functional workspace for their unpredictable growth, while creating a showcase for their brand emphasizing presentation and drama. We created modular office clusters separating varying sizes of standardized workstation neighborhoods sharing communal areas. As teams grow or shrink, they shift into the appropriately proportioned neighborhood suited to the project.
From reception to conference room, all aspects of a client's experience during a presentation are choreographed through enlivening architecture. Sliding doors, drawn curtains, dimming lights, layered glass and pivoting partitions create a sense of theater and drama.
