Perkins+Will acted as lead designer for the four block, 5.1 million square foot neighborhood. Within this neighborhood of buildings, a central 2.1 million square foot complex was entirely designed by Perkins+Will. It is sited on a highly desirable waterfront property. Accordingly, it has been designed with spacious residences of various types, gracious lobbies with public amenities, and circulation and parking systems that provide easy access to and from all parts of the project. Nearly every unit has a deck that enables outdoor living. The complex exploits and takes maximum advantage of a central canal water feature. The design widens the canal into a central focal point where retail, commercial and recreational elements blend to provide intense vitality and a sense of place.
