Upon completion of a 120-day master planning study for the UCLA Center for Health Sciences, we were named executive architect responsible for providing healthcare planning, interior architecture, interior design and all aspects of project delivery for the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

We worked with I.M. Pei, the designer for the hospital, Pei Partnership Architects and RBB Architects to create a building that defines the gateway to the UCLA Center for Health Sciences and the main campus and embodies the concept of a healing environment that is functional and efficient while being mindful of human scale. The hospital is approximately 1,200,000 square feet and consists of 525 patient beds including high acuity, intensive care and observation beds. Among the units included in the hospital are the Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA, the Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital UCLA, women's services, an interventional floor, diagnostic and treatment and faculty offices. Support services include a pharmacy, clinical lab, the food service kitchen and cafeteria and a central loading dock.

Our experience in leading and managing large, complex, multi-faceted projects and our proven processes and project delivery tools enabled the entire design/construction/owner team to produce a successful project. In recognition, the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center team was honored as the American Institute of Architects/Los Angeles Chapter "Building Team of the Year, 2002."
