In recent years, Waubonsee has experienced one of the most rapidly growing enrollments in the state. Facing a critical need for more student space, the college developed a 2020 College Master Plan to guide their growth and development. Our student center is an important element in this plan.

The center is the hub of student life on the Sugar Grove Campus, a "one-stop shop" that centralizes administrative offices, conference facilities, a testing center, student service and registration resources, student organization meeting spaces, food service, café, and catering functions as well as informal lounge and study areas.

Nestled among a grove of mature oak trees and adjacent to a natural wetland, the design reinforces the architectural vernacular on campus and creates interior spaces with extensive natural light and views out to the surrounding landscape.
